Economist and experienced manager Andreas Schnautz has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Kiel shipyard, effective 1 Jan 2020.

With Schnautz, GERMAN NAVAL YARDS KIEL (GNYK) has gained an accomplished manager who will strengthen the shipyard in his position as CFO, as well as a member of the management board.
Schnautz joins GNYK from marine electronics business ATLAS ELEKTRONIK, where he held the role of Chief Commercial Officer.

GNYK is the last remaining German general contractor to bid for the European-wide tender for the Multi-Purpose Combat Ships 180 (MKS) for the German Armed Forces. The largest armament project for the German Navy to date, it is expected to be awarded in the first half of 2020.
